Funeral services were held at the First Christian church in Fulton Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. W. Garnet Alcorn. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery with the rites of Free Masonry.
Mr. McCall was born near Reform and lived there until 1910 when he moved south of Fulton and had lived there since. He was 83 years old at the time of his death, having been born December 7, 1840. He was a son of native Virginians, J. E. McCall and Angeline Gilbert, and was the eldest of a family of eleven children, six sons and five daughters, only four of whom now survive. His education was received in the schools of Callaway county and at Westminster College where he was a student in 1860 and 1861. Two years after leaving college he was married to Miss Maggie A. Coats, of near Reform, December 15, 1863. The couple celebrated their golden wedding December 15, 1913, and last Christmas celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of their marriage.

In his passing Callaway loses one of her most substantial citizens who will leave his impress upon the century in which he lived. A man with high principles, upright and honorable in his dealings, with his fellowmen, he had the respect of the entire community.
